RetroFed Forum

A community for folks to offer mutual aid to each other. This community is about exchanging services and support with each other outside of the monetary system. If you need cash, please head to !direct_donations@anarchist.nexus and post there instead.

To give you an idea to get started, here's some possible examples:

Offering free tutoring or lessons.
Toy / book / tool / tech / clothing exchanges.
Offering your home / office for others to use Wi-Fi or a quiet space.
Offering or requesting a safe place to sleep for a night or two.

Rules

No asking for money, or offering something for cash. Use !direct_donations@anarchist.nexus instead.
Mods do not vet individual mutual aid offers or requests, so proceed at your own risk.
Do not offer or request mutual aid for anything explicitly illegal.
Comments or posts that are critical of any mutual aid post or user will be removed.

Check out !mutual_aid@hexbear.net too, which inspired this community. We stole your rules too, #sorrynotsorry.

Icon is temporary.

Welcome to the nostalgia-filled piefed instance of yesteryear.

Open Registration with Application questionnaire.

If you have a question or comment you can post in !meta@retrofed.com or message @DosDude@retrofed.com or @Die4Ever@retrofed.com

In case of downtime and/or emergency, we will post updates on @DosDude@mastodon.social

Some rules we try to uphold:

Be civil. Bigotry is not welcome. This includes (but is not limited to): transphobia, queerphobia, racism, ageism and ableism. We do not promote hate.
Communities need to be Retro or Retro-adjacent.
Please don't upload pornographic content. (use an external image host for that)
