This community is for users and appreciators of older cellphones, from the era before Apple and Androids. Our primary intent is to cover phones from 1990s, 2000s and perhaps early 2010s, but the precise cut-off is based on radio access technology: on-topic phones are those that require a 1G, 2G or 3G cellular network; anything that supports 4G or newer is too modern.

Community rules:

1. Posts or comments that are negative in nature, or are intended to inflict emotional distress upon other community members or upon appreciators of older technologies in general, are strictly prohibited. Posts or comments that violate this rule will be removed, and violators will be immediately banned.

2. Downvotes by non-participants are not allowed. This rule will be enforced (by removing drive-by downvotes or banning perpetrators) as soon as we gain technical ability to do so - it has been said that a future version of Lemmy will have this ability.
