They would support stalin/lenin/mao?

Yes, they absolutely would because Stalin, Lenin, and Mao drastically improved the conditions for the working majority. For example https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25495509/

Unless they've been purged, which is reserved for bigotry, yes. Click the three dots. You can also use this to access moderation history for all users.

I can see their undeleted comments, but not the mod log. I’m on the Voyager app

Most, yes. Click the 3 dots and go to "comment moderation history." Bigotry, doxxing, and CP are usually grounds for permanent removal.

I'd genuinely like to hear your answer on this, because it's something I think a lot about as an anarchist. Specifically, do you think the problem power hierarchies solve can only be solved by power hierarchies? Do you think that problem necessarily exists and needs solving in all contexts, perhaps because of some innate human nature? Who is it that has told you this is the case--that the fact ...

here is a detailed explanation for you https://dialecticaldispatches.substack.com/p/what-challenges-do-hierarchies-address

I don’t mind telling on myself here. I had several comments deleted and was banned from one of your communities for arguing that it was ridiculous to wish death upon people for joining the Navy and to hate everyone else who doesn’t share that view. My ban labeled me as a “liberal Zionist.” Not once in the conversation was Israel, Gaza, Zionism or anything related to it mentioned.

So since everyone can apparently look at others’ mod logs, I now have a smear on my record because your mods don’t have any qualms about lying about people they disagree with.

You really are the worst possible ambassadors for your own ideology.

What the fuck does that even mean? You're just trying to sound smart now.

In that they disagree with you, yes.

On the merits of the existence of authoritarianism, dismissing the work of someone like Adorno - just like that - is genuinely hilarious.

It's easy to have few prisoners when you're killing everyone.

"During the cold war, the anticommunist ideological framework could transform any data about existing communist societies into hostile evidence. If the Soviets refused to negotiate a point, they were intransigent and belligerent; if they appeared willing to make concessions, this was but a skillful ploy to put us off our guard. By opposing arms limitations, they would have demonstrated their aggressive intent; but when in fact they supported most armament treaties, it was because they were mendacious and manipulative. If the churches in the USSR were empty, this demonstrated that religion was suppressed; but if the churches were full, this meant the people were rejecting the regime's atheistic ideology. If the workers went on strike (as happened on infrequent occasions), this was evidence of their alienation from the collectivist system; if they didn't go on strike, this was because they were intimidated and lacked freedom. A scarcity of consumer goods demonstrated the failure of the economic system; an improvement in consumer supplies meant only that the leaders were attempting to placate a restive population and so maintain a firmer hold over them.

If communists in the United States played an important role struggling for the rights of workers, the poor, African-Americans, women, and others, this was only their guileful way of gathering support among disfranchised groups and gaining power for themselves. How one gained power by fighting for the rights of powerless groups was never explained. What we are dealing with is a nonfalsifiable orthodoxy, so assiduously marketed by the ruling interests that it affected people across the entire political spectrum."

Authoritarianism is a meaningless term used by edgy children whose brains haven't fully developed yet. The reality is that all governments rely on coercion to maintain their authority. The state is fundamentally an instrument that’s used by the ruling class to maintain its dominance. Literally trying to understand this side lol. You can look at the rest of the comments I have here. Everything I've read and heard, even from self described communists has been anti stalin/mao. It's not a crazy leap to ask if Pol Pot is in the same category. I troll in shitposting communities but here I'm literally trying to hear you. I haven't been combative or argumentative. I haven't even disputed a single claim made by anyone. I did just now start responding "rule 2" to people not being respectful though.

LMFAO HOLY FUCK DO YOU NOT GET IT? If I tell you to kill someone, and you do it, are you absolved of any responsibility??? Fucking god damn you are ignorant.

I’m not getting into this again because you’re already lying about what I am saying.

No, I am right. Try and cope as much as you want, you are in fact someone who enjoys the fascist killing of the global south. You only care now because Trump is mean about it.

I don’t think killing innocent people is justified and I don’t think people outside America don’t matter.

Highlighting this bit here. You were constantly saying that "you voted for this" to everyone in that Hexbear thread, who might not even be Amerikan. This is because you literally do in fact not think that lives outside Amerika matters at all and automatically assume everyone else is Amerikan.

here is a detailed explanation for you https://dialecticaldispatches.substack.com/p/what-challenges-do-hierarchies-address

This author seems to be confused about what hierarchies are. Hierarchies have nothing to do with division of labor or expertise--you can easily have/recognize both of those things in a horizontal power structure. A hierarchy is about who can coerce whom.

In the factory example the article gives, the presence of a central organizer/administrator/delegator does not necessarily mean the factory operates hierarchically. To determine if it does, you'd need to ask, "does the organizational structure allow the administrator to have their decisions enforced via actual or threatened violence against people who dissent?" In our capitalist reality, this would be things like firing the dissenter (depriving them of basic survival resources) or calling the cops. In authoritarian "communist" regimes, this might be forced labor or re-education camps.

You can organize at scale, abstract out certain parts of the organization, etc. without this coercive element. Humans are cooperative creatures; we want to build things together, and we are fully capable of respecting each other while we do so. Why limit the bounds of our liberation by assuming we need this systemic violence to do what we already want to do?
