I think people going for this hardware + OS are more of a function over form crowd. |

Does anyone know if it has a headphone jack? It seems dumb to brag about having B&O work on the audio if not, but I am still thinking it won't which will kill any interest in it. Edit: I confirmed it does not have one. total junk |

All phones have headphone jacks if you buy a $10 adapter |

Not a good one This is a good way to ensure a short life for your charging port
Here is one of the best adapters you can buy: https://www.apple.com/shop/product/mw2q3am/a/usb-c-to-35-mm-headphone-jack-adapter The charging port (aka USB-C port) isnt going to break because you occasionally plug in a cable into it. |

The charging port doesn't break from plugging in the cable, it happens because the headphone cable gets pulled at angles and usb-c isn't good at handling the stress from. I've literally had this happen. And yes, Apple's dongle IS one of the best usb-c dongles. They have always sold it dirt cheap as a way to assuage the people that were angry at the headphone jack removal. I am surprised they haven't raised the price after all these years; it has to be sold at a loss at this point. |

90W charging, huge storage option, high quality cameras (I already have a billion lenses on the back of my phone so I just don't give a shit), great screen - yeah I don't care how the thing looks. I care about GrapheneOS support and that it has the hardware to keep it usable for more than a couple of years. Right now its between this and a flip phone + umpc for me. We'll see where things go in the coming months. |

You well know when they come, when qualcolm puts the features in their midrange chips. GrapheneOS is not going to support SOCs that do not have the features they require. |

I know they already said to expect flagships, but it's still very disappointing to me. Personally, I'm just never going to buy a phone with something like the 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, a flagship among flagships. What are you supposed to do with a beast like that? It's just a lot of money wasted, because nothing you'll ever use a smartphone for requires even 50% of that performance. I hope some cheaper, weaker options will be supported by Graphene too. |

You're not going to get what you want here. Its abandoned tech. Not saying its better or worse, but they're not going to add them back in. They dont want ungrounded analog devices plugging into their digital devices. |

Do wish that older models also have access to GrapheneOS or another form of alternative Android OS. I have a 4 year old Motorola Moto G Power and may consider using it as part of a mini TUI-based computer running Ubuntu Touch, but I also have an updated version of that phone that I would love to not have stock Android on. |

All I want any phone to do is a great camera, a decent auto experience and contactless payments. I hope linux can get a decent camera system operational. GOS stock camera is abysmal. |

I miss the days of a single camera lens. I wouldn't even mind a system where you can swap the lens for different needs, but having a "camera bump" on a phone is so annoying. I prefer not needing a case to make the back of my phone lay flat on a table. |

Which model phones have their usb-c ports breaking?
I haven't had it happen to a phone in a long time (though it did happen to the LG phone I had like two phones ago). I've had it happen to another device that charges with USB-C (Focus V Carta 2). To the point where I had to buy a wireless charger (that itself needs to charge with USB-C so I have to make sure not to do it again) built specifically for the device and it's the only way I can charge the device now. Amazing device though. I've had it for like 6 years now and that's the only part that stopped working. I haven't inhaled combusted plant matter since. |

it truly, seriously is. I bit the bullet and got Google's camera app which sadly works much better. I just block it from having any network permissions but even then it feels really sketchy. but I'm not going back to the GrapheneOS camera, it's just so fucking miserable. |

Im sure the device is end of life after 6 years anyways, so that sounds about right. I personally havent ever had a usb-c port fail, but ive only been using iphones and pixels. Good workaround with the wireless charging though. |
