With circular motion, you can spin threads, mill grain, move a wheel forward, drill holes, bring water upwards, generate electricity spinning turbines, create gravity, defeat gravity. It's just too OP |

Nah thats not real. Most uranium enrichment involves turning it into a gas then doing diffusion. |

An engine lathe is one of the only standalone machine tools that is capable of recreating itself in its entirety. And not only can it recreate itself, with the correct tooling setup it can recreate itself in a more precise, accurate manner than it itself is built. |

Theoretically, it's possible to use circular motion to build a train to orbit. Literally, you could have a floating platform suspended above the Earth's surface and a train line running right up to the thing. One could have a stationary ring circling the entire planet that you could ride a train right up to. Hell, with sufficient mastery of circular motion, you could build a structure that allowed you to sail a boat to the Moon. If you're going to quote orbital mechanics as to why this is impossible, you don't know as much about orbital mechanics as you think you do. |

Not OP, and I'm not sure how the lathe itself does it. But it shouldn't be surprising that it's possible to create more precise tools from less precise tools. Otherwise it would be impossible for us to ever create tools more precise than our own hands and fingers. |

I love pedantry. Just to kick it up a notch, I'd like to point out that people are a part of the natural world, therefore our technology is a part of nature. For example farms don't seem natural, but I think most people would agree that ants are natural. Some ant colonies engage in farming, and we accept that as a part of nature. |

In terms of precision? Not entirely, there are limits to true mechanical precision that is necessitated by lubrication for moving parts, running fits, and natural vibrations. When combined with other systems (aka computers) you are able to build shit like ASML microchip lithography machines... |

Smoke some herb and get ready for this, all motion is curved, there's no such thing as straight motion. The summation of movement can be said to be linear. |

Nope, separation between different Uranium isotopes is achieved by centrifugation (of a gaseous form). Pretty much every time where you have something that has identical chemical/physical properties outside of a differing molecular weight, centrifugation is the way to go if you want to do it quantitatively. |

Wheels in the form circular rocks are also naturally occurring. Plenty of human "inventions" are actually just finding useful applications for existing stuff. Like penicillin from mold. And organic iPhones from the Apple tree. |

Yeah that's after the first one was diffusion.also that's misinformation it can be different molecular weights and different compounds while still being centrifuged into different layers most of biology does this to separate the bio mass. It doesn't have to be similar it can be different , as long as the weight is different. Impurities can be removed this way as well. |

After diffusion you get a mixture of the isotopes, which is useless by itself. You have then have to separate these very similar atoms by atomic weight, and for that you need centrifuges, because the only difference between those isotopes is mass (which causes diffences in a flight path in a curve, similarily to how GC/MS works), which means that any other separation method will not enrich the isotope you are looking for; U-235 and U-238 diffuse identically, or at least so very much identically that you can't make an industrial process out of the difference. |

No this is new technology I’m talking about the very beginning. Centrifugals for Uranium Enrichment is the new and current method. When they started out they used multiple diffusion chambers. Look at the tube alloys project and then the manhatten project which is what all this eventually became. It started with diffusion. |
