.ml is pretty explicit on their "about us" page that they have a specific political orientation and will censor dissenting opinions.

Now you have learned. Plenty of other instances that aren't as heavily censored.

lemmy.ml is filled with people who sort the instance by new comments and hit the F5 button nonstop. It's why there is such quick and violent hate the moment you do not pay attention to where you are in All and make a random, unimportant comment.

when I first got on lemmy, I went to .ml since that is where the devs were. I figured that it would be nice to be on the most updated instance. I didn't know what ML was. I lasted very little time before running away. It's shocking how insecure and angry people are there.

I get that some people just start out there as they enter the Lemmiverse and aren't part of the stereotype, but clearly so many .ml users are snowflake troll braindead NPCs that it's become a pattern that can't be ignored and that we're pretty much all aware of at this point.

I was on Lemmy for about a month before I figured out the whole .ml thing. I'm honestly surprised it took that long.

I think there's a lot to be said for critiquing the flaws of our democracy, but doing so by adhering yourself to even worse authoritarian types is wild to me.

They are virtually the same when it comes to how loathsome they are. The biggest difference is one of them has the strength of conviction to stand on their ignorance and commit to it, the other just likes to play pretend on the internet.

I checked the two links toward BBC articles:

One says children are fighting both sides (with Ukrain for some, for Russia for some others). It is terrible, but doesn't make a point favorable to any of the sides.

The other one claims that about 5% of ukrainian fighters are far-rightists ; which is few given the score of far-right in Europe, but doesn't make the country a fascist one. Actually, the article you give as source denies this russian claim against Ukrain.

I don't know which of the other links support your view, this two ones don't. Also, I don't know the other websites you use as sources, so I can't guess if they are reliable. I am too lazy to check them all, which of your links seems the most relevant to you?

While you're at it you can come up with a good explanation why every Muslim country that's investigated the matter has determined China is not committing crimes against humanity against a Muslim population, but is doing exactly what they said, operating a highly successful anti extremism program that's drastically reduced Wahabbist terrorism in the space of a generation, and created education and employment opportunities all across the region.

If you establish that China is actually doing crimes against humanity we can talk about it.
