AI can't make art in the slightest, but a lot of coding tasks are 90% donkey work, changing things in a dozen places and not forgetting one, adding a field and making sure it gets populated/copied in all the places, refactoring, etc. Good structure takes away some code duplication, but never all of it. Making a massive sweeping change that on the surface is simple, has always been a ball-ache. "Make the player walk left and right when I press left and write" isn't hard code, but in a codebase you're not familiar with, it can take time to find where to put it.

I know this is /c/Fuck_AI but if you work for somebody else doing development, chances are you're all using it anyway...

so apperantly: Oracle mostly inherited the open source from Sun Microsystems acquisition(but they stopped OpenSolaris and there was a lawsuit about Google using Java in Android), Microsoft starting somewhat kinda supportive of open source few years later (especially the Github acquisition ) and IBM only open sources a few things.
