Canada placed the tariffs last year as a show of support for the U.S. who did the same. China retaliated with tariffs on Canada's agricultural products. China's EVs start at $16000 Cdn while the EVs in Canada currently start at $40000 Cdn. Removing the tariffs would reduce reliance on the U.S, and increase our agricultural markets. In today's scenario, the tariffs don't make sense. |
