Yea there is some sense in going over this given that JJabrams trilogy plans with Lawrence Kasdan have been leaked and known. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=NhjzADFObBQ You can look into it just like the entirety of the internet. It’s okay we already know. Even if you are desperate to wave it off, via ignorance or obstinance. His original trilogy plans weren’t prefect and kinda went off the rail...

Why would somebody as force sensitive as Luke not know his best friend in the entire universe was killed by his son? Leia knew. Are you saying Leia is more force-sensitive than luke?

Jj Abrams did not understand the fundamental canon of Star wars. The force awakens completely ignored the logic set up in the original trilogy. Rian Johnson had to come in and create a movie that honored the logic of the original trilogy while also connecting it to the logical mess that was Abram's ham-fisted attempt. The last Jedi was perhaps the best execution that could have happened trying to correct Abram's ham fisted efforts.

Rogue one was great but Star Wars got messed up by Rian Johnson. Otherwise it makes great sense. The shortened fan edits even more so… Rian needs to fuck off into the night à la Star Wars… Knives out is cool.

Rian Johnson's movie was the only good one in that whole trilogy though

HARD disagree.

Johnson’s a great director but he threw out the Abram’s and Kasdans three film treatment and made shit up in the fly that didn’t fit with the first or third film in the trilogy.

The whole movie is the rebellion running around in a circle.
Mark Hammil was on record for thinking his character was all wrong.

Lea force pulling out of no where.

It’s a huge fucking mess with what little redeeming qualities it had were meaningless in the larger trilogy story.

The rest of the trilogy was just "let's rip off the original trilogy, surely nobody will notice, also Palpatine somehow returned", so making shit up on the fly was honestly the right decision there

Plus, Rey being basically a nobody was much better than the weird borderline fashy "she's from a Great Bloodline" shit
