Not sure how many mecha-heads are present here but Edmonton is featured as a destination in the newest Gundam series!

Apparently some of the tram cars that go over the bridge are from a specific city in Japan, I forget the name though. There's also a 'sister city' in Hokkaido somewhere, mostly because we have almost the same climate; hot, short summers and long, cold winters.
