r/4tran4 • 15天前 sadheadlesssoygirl Well, I got banned from r/asktransgender A while ago, I saw someone on that sub praising China’s hrt system. As a Chinese trans woman, that genuinely pissed me off. Their own post even pointed out that in a country of 1.4 billion people, there are fewer than five hospitals that can actually provide “professional” trans healthcare. Most trans people in China end up going the diy route. And even if you manage to jump through all the hoops required by the system, which relies heavily on gender stereotypes, most doctors outside of those few hospitals know basically nothing about HRT anyway. At that point, it’s practically no different from doing diy yourself. I was really angry at the time, so I called them 弱智 (retard in Chinese ), and that got me banned.
