I've always been curious, what's it taste like??? I have seen it in the woods many years ago before I knew it was edible. Haven't seen it since unfortunately.

I havet eaten it once. The consistency resemble that of chicken but it had a bland taste. I was so happy that I found it after years of searching, but it didn't live up to the hype. Plus it gave me a stomachache. I'd give it a 3/10.

I'm new and didn't grab it when it looked nice like this. But this is the 2and year this stump has produced...its on my calandar now.

Deep fried in beer batter with a squeeze of lemon on top tastes like very overcooked/dry fried chicken
