Full disclosure: i am on the list. But that's not my issue beyond the personal hilarity.

They decided they had the right to censor visibility of users, comments, words, entire instances to those who utilised their interface. And they went to lengths to hide it. Thats a violation. A serious one. Of user agency, of FOSS, of what the fediverse purports to be about. And when discovered they went on an unhinged rant slinging insults at those who quite rightly said "what the fuck, dude". Utterly unrepentant.

It was a pretty slimmy move by the dev. A bunch of people paid for the app then the developer pretty quickly abandoned it. Cashed out on that good will they had from making a good Reddit app.
