I was trying to upload an image in a comment. After messing with it for a while, I figured out that I get a button to do the upload only if I have Markdown turned off. Is this something others are seeing too?

I ask because client-specific issues (like browser and extensions) can sometimes cause problems like this.

Yes, but all it did was provide the format for an external image link. There wasn't an option to upload the image.

Similar here. I do get the pop-up to upload when creating a new post, but a comment only puts in link markdown

Huh. I dug a bit deeper. There is a difference between comment of a comment and comment under post. The latter only puts in the MD

They both work for me.

I suspect a timing issue - the javascript to do the popup media picker is a separate file from the markdown gui and if they happen to load in the wrong order things will probably not work. It'll be random, depending on network conditions and the phase of the moon, etc.

I don't know, it's pretty repeatable to be timing issue. It's always comment under post that does not have this, and comment of a comment working fine

Could it be because the top insertImage a does not have mt-2 class? That's the only difference I could find
