Obligatory this happened about a decade ago, not today.

This was during peak snapchat era. I’m 12 years old, sitting in the waiting chair at the barbershop while my dad gets a haircut, holding up my phone to take a mirror selfie.

Through my screen I notice something weird. The young barber working a few feet away is looking directly at me. I zoomed in on his face to see if he was actually looking at me and

not only is he staring but he is actively putting on a show. Smirking at me, running his hands through his hair, being all nonchalant and locking eyes with me. I panic drop my phone into my lap and spend the rest of the time sweating in absolute horror wondering why this guy is trying to act cute for a child.

My dad finally finishes, pays and we stand up to leave. I turn around to grab my things and that's when my brain finally connects the dots. The entire back wall behind my chair was one massive wall to wall mirror.

This man was actively posing, smirking and fixing his hair for his own reflection because he thought a random 12 year old was taking paparazzi photos of HIM.

I never set foot in there again out of sheer embarrassment.

TL;DR Thought a barber was obsessed with 12 year old me while I was taking a Snapchat selfie but turns out he was just checking himself out and posing for the camera.
