There's been some filming this week on Ballard Ave for a new comedy series, with scenes shot at Studio RA and jewelry store Begin.

It’s nice to see a film set in Seattle actually filming in Seattle

The casting call for SAHD describes it as “a mockumentary sitcom that follows Tom and his life as a stay-at-home dad. Once his youngest starts attending school full-time, Tom needs to find a way to reconcile his mixed feelings about his changing role as a SAHD. Think of it as a coming-of-middle-age story.”

Another crew is in Seattle right now filming “Friend Thing,” a movie set in Seattle in the 90s and starring Alfie Williams and Ryan Kiera Armstrong. LA-based director Harry Calbom told The Seattle Times that he grew up here and that the film is inspired by his childhood.
