Adolescents who undergo gender-affirming chest surgery report low levels of regret and high levels of satisfaction, experiencing outcomes similar to those of young adults. These findings suggest that age restrictions on these medical procedures lack support from actual patient experiences. The research was published in the International Journal of Transgender Health.

Paywalled but seems to be about FTM getting existing boobs removed, rather than MTF getting new ones installed.

This is such a poorly written study. There are no details on what (if anything) they controlled for. Their excuse for not providing more data is weak as well.

One of the big arguments against surgical transitioning for children is they might regret it years later. Asking them about it relatively shortly after surgery isn't useful for combating this argument.

This really needs to be a longitudinal study.
