Surströmming is the perfect universal equipment, it can serve as both combat rations and munitions. And in case of capture by the enemy, it is not only of no use, but outright dangerous to them.

As someone who had the unfortunate fate of trying surströmming, id much rather prefer getting a nuclear bomb getting dropped on me.
