ight years is a long time to wait for a sequel to a game about running a pawn shop. But Moonlighter, Digital Sun’s scrappy 2018 mashup of dungeon crawling and retail math, earned that kind of patience. It was the rare indie that made pricing a sword correctly feel as satisfying as swinging one. Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, published by 11 Bit Studios and now out on Switch 2, doesn’t just add more dungeons and more inventory slots. It rebuilds the whole game from the ground up, trading the original’s top-down pixel art for a fully 3D isometric world, and mostly, the gamble pays off. |
