Attendees at the Prairieland protest were sentenced to decades in prison despite not breaking any laws. Allegedly they supported terrorism by wearing black, using encryption, and being (legally) armed.

Organizers of Minneapolis ICE watch groups are facing similar charges. Hopefully they get acquitted but it's still some scary stuff to see peaceful protesters getting life in prison.

I am aware, but just because the US does something doesn't make it okay for China to do the same. That is the issue with tankies. They try to make excuses by comparing one dystopia with another dystopia.
