You can't.

You can provide them with information, but people will do whatever they want to.

Ask anyone in the healthcare profession. They'll tell you stories of people who are using oxygen tanks and still smoking; or addicts who have overdosed a dozen times and kept on using; or alcoholics who have had liver transplants and kept on drinking.

"Against stupidity, the gods themselves, contend in vain."

It’s sad that some people are hard to haggle with.

Live a happy life, and then when they ask you what the secret to your happiness is, hit em with the "I haven't looked at a Grok summary or a Facebook post in 37 years."

We can't convince loved ones to live healthier lives with logic and explanations.

We can be there for them regardless of their choice and hope one day they'll see what you see.

you don't.

you live your own life your way and hope they follow by example. but you can't convince other people's to change their ways unless you want to become an abusive controlling person.

Invite them to do something healthy with you. They'll be glad to spend time with you, and will be more likely to enjoy the activity and do it again.

Plus, community and real social interaction could be a good way to curb these issues.
