Good read. I knew astroturfing was bad there, but reading about it makes it seem so frustrating. And I didn't realize Reddit had started letting people hide post history.

And I'm sure it's not just there. Anywhere that anonymous people trust each other, I'm sure it's abused every day.

I still look at some very niche subs, and the blatant advertising has gotten out of control. I looked at an ad post, and people were engaging with it; I couldn’t tell if they didn’t realize it was an ad (even though it said “ad”) or if it was a couple of bots interacting with the ad-bot. 🙄

I had deleted my account in Reddit. But when I was still there, when ads come in my feed, I usually hide them! However, there is a limit on how many ads you can hide!
