As voting begins, state judge strikes down a birth year requirement that has voided nearly 6,000 Montana votes since 2025.

Why would you want to sort ballots by birth year unless it was obvious that certain age groups vote in your favor and removing another age groups ballots also works in your favor.

My big question going in was: "Did any of those disqualifications change an election result?"

And right at the end it says:

In some communities, the number of rejected ballots was large enough to potentially change election outcomes. In Billings, for example, the 2025 mayoral race was decided by 200 votes, while 627 ballots were not counted because they lacked birth years.

So it's entirely possible.

There needs to be punishments for violations of constitutional rights that go beyond the person receiving a taxpayer-funded oopsie slip.
