For those like me so don't know what canva is:

Make something lovely today.

Cards, posts, slides, posters and little logos — drawn up right in your browser.

Interesting.

Just one note: this is 2 days old, one contributer together with Claude. Make of that what you will.

Canva is fantastic so this is a great endeavor. This does appear to be published two days ago and built heavily with AI. Somebody just opened the first github issue. None of that means it's necessarily awful, but I would be very very wary self-hosting this and exposing it to the internet.

The easiest thing to do is just to run it locally on your machine or you local network. I imagine for most people there's little reason to host something like this publicly.

I think that is the first time I have ever heard someone say that canvas is fantastic lol.

I have worked with it quite a bit and it is jankier than Microsoft Word image placement.

The good thing about it is its huge library if assets.

Hm it fills a different niche than MS Word. They're both janky but in canva I usually design a page or two, not write a multi-page text, so at least there's no issues with page breaks
