Palestine had a national football team in the 1930s that was recognized by FIFA, played World Cup qualifiers, and even toured Australia. The only problem? None of the players was actually Palestinian.

This is a story about domination via sports, settler colonialism playing out on the football pitch, and decades of FIFA complicity in the occupation of Palestine.
