I wanted to open discussion about how you relate to it (to those who relate) and how many of you feel identified with it. I am a transfem who has been transitioning for 3 years and lately I have felt this term pretty close, specially after discovering it from a close person who identifies with it. It seems other people use it as well and that is why I want to ask here. |

hi! okay, so, this is my first exposure to this term, but as someone who just realized they're maybe binary trans after (7?) years of seeing themself as non-binary, this sorta resonates with me. they/them is still my comfiest set of pronouns. at the same time, i've discovered that being viewed as binary female is also quite affirming. i'm not really sure what i am at this point. neither feels completely "right". i'm kinda iffy about hrt. i'm really interested in most of the effects, but not sure how i feel about having breasts. i'm certain transfem is what i am, but kinda 50/50 on whether i still identify as enby. part of me feels like i'm clinging to it out of uncertainty. or maybe i should just adopt femby. not sure if this is helpful or even makes much sense. let me know if you'd like me to elaborate on something. what about you? |

Cute word. I don't know if I can contribute to the discussion, since it's the first time I'm hearing it. Or maybe, I guess, I like how it's kind of a creative wordplay, as a word, which echoes the "not-a-neat-box" spirit of queerness. It's less a defined identity, and more an abstract descriptor. So yeah, it sounds cool. If someone said, "dunno what I am, I guess a femby", I'd thing they're cool. My identity is close to that, and I've heard of many many amab enbies looking for such a term, such an idea. |

Hiii! I'm a trans femme that has been transitioning for less than 2 years. Even though at first I thought about myself in a binary way, after some months, talking to other transfems and some introspection, I realized I didn't quite feel as feminine as I thought, maybe feeling demigirl at most. Later on, before my first year transitioning, some positive events made me prioritize nonbinary pronouns when presenting myself from then on. I didn't use nonbinary pronouns for myself a lot yet though and was treating myself in feminine most of the time, but a close person made me realize I liked them being used for me more than the feminine ones so I've been slowly using them more and more :) Then my partners, realizing I was referring to myself more and more in an enby way, began using the term 'femby' out of nowhere, which I liked a lot and was a label I really felt identified with, and some more introspection made me realize I had some fluidity in my gender as well, so I now identify as genderdoe. That's mostly about it! I'm still kind of exploring where I'm going and things might change, but this term seems pretty relatable to me overall. |
