Ah yeah, I realize I misunderstood you. I thought you meant that rioting/organizing against this system in general (historically) doesn't work.

But I still believe that organizing matters, always. Even if it only saves a few people from being deported or makes change more difficult it is meaningful. I may not bring Trump out of office, that might be true

Yes, but it didn't hit us the moment Trump got elected. It hit us more starting in summer 2019 when such discourse finally reached us, and at the end of that year we were all saying "let's make 2020 better." and then WHAM... COVID-19.
