Clarification: Dolly Parton was Miley Cyrus's godmother. Also, Dolly Parton covered her song Wrecking Ball (and the performance featured her). You wouldn't think Dolly Parton would have been down with some of the things Miley Cyrus got down to, but no, she supported her all the way. I can't imagine Billy Ray ever even watching the video (the song is good on its own though) but Dolly Parton was an angel.

I didn't even know Dolly beyond her public self, and I cried a good bit. Still do, when a mention of her comes up. Which is incredibly unusual for me.

But, I can't imagine how hard it hit for her family, and Miley was absolutely family.
