100+ years of people driving cars: they only slow down en mass when forced to by the infrastructure. Everything else is a temporary fix before we go right back to murdering people with our mobile boxes again.

As a bike rider I’ve noticed that many motorists will definitely see getting to the next intersection/light/stop sign as a race fore some reason as a superiority complex to get ahead. It’s not a competition. “Motorists take a chill pill!”

If only there was a system that discouraged speeders. Maybe we could set up some kind of, I don't know, cameras or something. Cameras that somehow photograph and fine speeders. It could even be a great source of revenue for a city that desperately needs it.
