We stayed at a B&B last week, and the provider cooked 3 homestyle mexican meals a day.

It was insanely good. The best were quesadillas from scratch; and the corn taste of the tortilla was everything I needed.

A new café opened recently in my town. Bought a smoked salmon bagel and it was the best bagel I've ever bought. Wish I could afford having one every day lol

There’s a place in my city that does a fusion of Mexican and Korean food, absolutely amazing. Kimchi and Mexican food are meant to be

I threw together a pot roast in the Instant pot Friday afternoon and it sustained me all weekend. I wasn't expecting much because I just used a pre-made seasoning packet. It was fucking delicious though.

I was taken aback to find that a not-quite 2.5lb cut of beef was over $20.

I love good food! And I'm not posh, so a LOT of 'regular' stuff is just wonderful. This was. Emma the host (boomer) was taught by her grandmother to cook for the family, and it was so freakin' tasty. Nothing posh, just lotsa beans and tortillas and crusty bread and sauces (gringo-hot) and ... yeah. A+++ would so fn go again, just for Emma's cooking!

I doctored up some lasagna hamburger helper, used Italian sausage instead of ground beef, because it was cheaper. Kid said it was too spicy, but I thought it was great.

I kind of read a few and then combined them based on what I had. The barberries and ghee were pretty clutch though, plus just cooking the chicken until it went really tender.

it was months ago but my neighbor brought over a chocolate chip banna bread. Now here is the thing. It was made in a bunt cake and what was neat is it made the slices much easier to finger eat. because you had all this sorta crust part that was not sticky. its kinda hard to explain but it was great.

Fried catfish in Missouri.

I love almost all seafood, but had never liked catfish. A friend of a friend convinced me to give it a try if I was ever in actual catfish country. Can confirm that it was delicious.

I did have it grilled later on, and that was less good. Good, but not great

Are you me??? I was recently in Azerbaijan, did a food tour that ended with being gifted a bundle of local ingredients. Get home, biosecurity lets most of them through. Looked up barberry recipes as I hadn't any experience with them before. Combined a few Zereshk Polo Ba Morgh (Chicken with Barberry Rice) recipes I found online to suit what I had on hand and the level of effort I wanted to put in, and voila! Delicious!

I’ve not been to Azerbaijan but could identify it on Worldle, which is obviously the next best thing. Would love to go there but I’m exiled in the antipodes for now.

We went for the F1, which I'd recommend if you are a fan. They go all out to make it welcoming for the event. Our flights from SE Oz were brutal though, especially since we canned Plan A (via Dubai) due to the current shenanigans thereabouts and rerouted via Singapore and Frankfurt.

I bought this bottle of "Heinz x Morley's" fried chicken sauce. It's nothing to write home about, and I probably won't buy it again, but I put some onto a pepperoni pizza recently and damn, it was good eating!

A sticky rice, sticky soy pork skewers, some awesome fresh king prawn taco sort of things, and a pretty fancy pudding, it was all-round fantastic
