Stinks that it's hard to set up a new internet. I've got nothing to hide but I don't like being watched like this.

They could just get a warrant? This will end up with the same oversight that Flock gets.

nah, distributednets.

I2P is still addressed-based resource locating, not “everyone has copies of pies.”

It's always "think of the children" when it comes to surveillance bullshit.

Ah crap. Namecheap is my provider and they spoke in support of this nonsense...

Anyone have registrar recommendations? I'm apparently in the market

It solves the immediate query problem ICANN is enabling, but it doesn't solve the screen and chair problem with bad actors. When people think “I want to watch a movie!” They don't go “Cinema XYZ has listing FOHO at times XX:XX:XX during XX on XX.” They go “movie name, year, genre.”
Networks need to be design around utility, not fascist markers.

njal.la, they will also shield you from this since they will be in the whois record not you.

As we learned from the Austistici affair, ICANN is not trustworthy, they are in bed with fascists if they are not fascists themselves.

We need an alternative.

Gotta focus on a specific minority, thats how fascists work. Children, or accurately minors are the tool here, and discrimination is the scene.

It's almost like Cyberpunk has predicted that the entire internet would crash and burn in the 2020s...

And if you don't, they'll increase the scope of what needs to be hid until you do.

And wait for my alone-time to start because some bloke in England is stuck with a 20/4 connection? No thank you. :(

That's worse on an address-resource-confirm-acknowledge network…

I haven't heard that take before. What are some alternatives being considered?
