We’re here with fresh, long-awaited news about the next installment of Car Mechanic Simulator.
First, we’d like to thank you for your patience and understanding. Development has taken considerably longer than we initially expected. The ambitious goals we set for our small team have proved to be a major challenge. Our main driving force is the desire to create the best possible game for you. Building online multiplayer on top of gameplay systems that had already undergone extensive changes turned out to be no small undertaking. As this is our first venture into multiplayer, we significantly underestimated the time and work required. The number of changes, new challenges, and quality standards we set for ourselves meant that many completed features had to be rewritten.
But that stage is now behind us. The game has reached a point where we can share several announcements.
First up, the new Multiplayer DEMO will be available tomorrow!
Together with another player, you can get a taste of what awaits you in the full game. Compared with the previous DEMO, we’re adding two more cars: the Bolt Nevada and the Lacroix Modique R. We’ve also expanded the tutorial to give new players a smoother introduction to the game.
Both the publisher’s tests and our internal testing went well, with no major issues, but the real test will be your experience with the demo. We hope you’ll approach it with understanding and a willingness to try this new way of playing.
Second, as this year is slowly drawing to a close, having “2026” in the title makes a little less sense. We had hoped to complete the project this year, but reaching the quality we’re aiming for requires more time.
That’s why we’ve decided to rename the game Car Mechanic Simulator 2027. The DEMO will also carry this number.
Third, at this stage, we can announce that we’re planning to release the full game in Q1 2027.
Since we want to release the game simultaneously on all platforms (PC, PlayStation, and Xbox), there’s still some work ahead of us after the new DEMO becomes available. We’re on the home stretch, but we’re allowing time to fix multiplayer issues that may surface following the DEMO’s release, as well as to complete the remaining console work and publishing preparations.
We continue to work towards a final game that meets not only our own high standards, but above all, our players’ high expectations. Although our team remains small, we’re doing our best to deliver a high-quality game that brings you plenty of enjoyment and new gameplay possibilities.
Thank you once again for your patience so far. We ask you to bear with us a little longer.
