They're (for the US at least) 98% lies and slander.

Why do you want the fediverse full of lies and slander?

I bet there are some communities that like parsing the BS and dealing with ... everything, but I doubt that's, "asklemmy".

Hopefully others may have better avenue ideas to ask such questions, presuming you're serious.

I can say that for weeks before voting there has been one around a scandal for one figure. Then days before voting you start getting one that is about how another politician has supported the first one in the past. Not the most disgusting but its kinda funny to see complex tactics.

Not an ad, but my friend from a mail-in-vote state recently sent me something about 2 things being voted on that's being supported by representatives of something like Democrats for an informed approach on gender! Immediately sent a shiver down my spine reading that because "informed approach on gender" is nothing but a huge dogwhistle for anti-LGBTQ+ ( mainly trans in this instance ) stuff. At least that's my understanding of it.

All from a voters guidebook they got in the post.

One bill was the standard "let's give pedos the ability to freely grope underage girls" anti-trans sports bill. The other looked like a bill that basically forcing school staff to turn over anything they have on students ( personal notes included ) upon request. And from the sound of it, creates an extremely hostile environment for any student that doesn't want their parents knowing they told a staff member something private.

That's ad enough for me to continue voting and protesting in my city.

There's a third one in said state which is a measure to repeal a tax on yearly income over USD$1 million. Of course it's confusingly worded. "Should this measure be enacted into law? Yes/No"

Insanity.
