IMO quality is the worst place to focus AI critique because plenty of issues will get worse the better the models get. Don't assume it will necessarily stay like this forever. They are perfectly ready to pay a lot less people the second it gets to "technically works but is flawed" for a task, as they have been for an increasing number of jobs
