The current US administration is vaccine skeptical. It's not a fringe view anymore.

The current US administration is vaccine skeptical.

No, they are antivax, RFK Jr. made $540K a year taking money from antivax charities, and when his ass is kicked out he'll go right back to them.

These antivaxers make 200-300% what a good immunologist makes, which is fucked.

I’m hella scared of needles. Which makes me even cooler and braver for still getting vaccinated

Same, but I rolled up my sleeves and got my shots. I also began giving blood. No excuses.

im a needlephobe and I get vaxxed. I hate it but I have had decade to find ways to deal with it. Still can't stand seeing someone else get one or such. Curiously you would think I would want to get them all at once but like. I have to really get myself together for each one and it is just better for it to happen and be over asap.

For influenza:

And COVID mist vaccines are coming. These aerosol vaccines work better than injections for respiratory viruses because they form two kinds of antibodies, and they prime the immune response in the airway, which is the route of natural infection.

To be fair does anyone trust the CDC or FDA right now?

The FDA has been corrupted, but long before Trump.

There is a revolving door between pharma and FDA, similar to Wall street and the SEC.

Hopefully as COVID fades in the collective memory, so will antivaxxing. I never even heard of it before COVID, and it seems to be mainly an American problem (although they did achieve a cultural victory a little after WW2 so the rest of the world gets infected as well) so maybe it'll go away soon?

Hopefully as COVID fades in the collective memory

Number 5 killer in 2026. I've never stuck my head up my ass, but that sounds more painful than a needle.

From what I remember a couple celebrities popularized the antivax theory that autism and vaccines are linked. Jenny McCarthy was going on talk shows spouting off about something she had no expertise in.

Jenny McCarthy
Jim Carrey
Robert DeNiro

Why do people listen to anything actors have to say about anything? Most of them have no education.

the antivax theory that autism and vaccines are linked. Which if you get down to it is a really fucked up way of thinking "I'd rather my kid die at age 5 of a fully preventable disease than have an autistic child" And I say this as a parent of at least one autistic child (the oldest isn't diagnosed, but I can definitely see some tendencies)

Robert DeNiro thinks vaccines caused his son to be autistic.

Actual science says older parents increase the risk of autistic children, but DeNiro want to have more kids with different women well into his late 70s. What an asshole.

A picture of a suffering child does not prove vaccines eradicated smallpox. This was common and ended the summer after the Salk vaccine. Your identity is clearly based on your ignorance.

What makes you think the vaccines didn't cause the deaths in the first place ? "Vaccine Induced polio - Sabin type"

Isn't it odd that the only thing free in "healthcare" is vaccines?

Antivax movements have literally been around for as long as mandatory vaccination has (I.e since the 1850s in the UK), but you should at least be aware of the whole "vaccines cause autism" panic that rose to prominence in the early 2000's.

the whole “vaccines cause autism” panic that rose to prominence in the early 2000’s.

Based on data faked by one single MD paid big money by a NY law firm trying to sue vaccine makers. It's always been about money.
We need real criminal laws on scientific fraud , currently only Australia will imprison scientific fraudsters.

I absolutely fucking hate needles and I still get vaccinated because it's the right thing to do and ultimately it just kind of pinches for a second? I tell you what though I live in dread of being hospitalized because I just know for a fact that I would fucking hate having an IV in me and not being able to like mess with it or take it out. Absolutely hate the idea of that so much.

The IV isn't a needle that stays in you, it's just a plastic tube afterwards

“It sounds that way to you.” No shit, that’s why I’m the one saying it. “This is showerthoughts.” Yah, that’s why I reread the title in light of your clarification and moved on, because you probably didn’t give your original post too much thought, just like I didn’t give too much thought to thinking you were speaking broadly in my first response. “But it is the case for a lot of people.” No shi...

LOGIC BLAST!!!

I used to be antivax as a teen/early adult, you're right at least in my case! Others are just eugenicists who want to use polio and COVID to get rid of the undesirables.

Classic example of pseudo-intellectual bullshit. No, I'm not getting my science from fucking YouTube.

You speak of Science as if its fixed?

If you can't question it, it is not Science, its propaganda.

BESIDES, you may find many sources and references on youtube, which you are free to pursue and investigate yourself.

The reason why Anthroposophy or Jainism [ just to name a few ] are completely ignored from view is because they expose the inconvenient truth with vaccines or modern life which is not good for the business of Slavery.

Have a nice day!
