I got the legendary edition for free and am doing a play through again and I can see why I didn't get 2 or 3...

But I'm told they're OK/good so I'll power through and get to them.

The game was cancelled and Bioware was closed by EA. I bet the trailer was leaked to garner enough discourse to have EA undo that choice

I mean, it's not for everyone, and that's okay. If you're not enjoying the game, don't keep playing it. That said, I think the ME Trilogy is one of the best set of RPGs ever made.

I mean, I kinda want the full story, so there's that, plus I know what I was getting into, and its still got those old KOTOR vibes....

The repition is what is annoying.

Or for resume clout. It's tough working in someone for 5 years, it never coming out and being expected to use that experience to help you get the next gig

Imo 1 is fantastic, 2 is very mid & 3 is kinda bad. The downfall of this series largely shows the rate at which talent left Bioware.

1 was good for its time, who doesn't like tight spacesuits on busty aliens.... But its really empty and repetitive (IMO).

Yeah, KOTOR definitely has its flaws (especially the sequel by Obsidian, which I prefer), but I enjoyed replaying through the KOTOR games a few years ago. On the flip side, that same year I tried to get into ME1 for the second time — having dropped it a bit after I got to the Citadel the first time — and I dropped it again around the same point. It just doesn't do it for me. I also couldn't get into any Dragon Age games post-Origins.
