Wait didn't they transfer to ColorOS like 6 years ago?

I somehow missed the announcement that Oneplus is closing down altogether.
I'm on my third phone from them, I was already thinking about going to Nothing or Motorola next but it still feels weird to no not have 1+ as an option any more. I think Oppo should have just made global versions at a certain point, the 1+ eventually felt like Oppo global anyway.

The base was already colorOS but there were slight differences and they didn't write colorOS. But now, the whole software is done by oppo devs without changes from oneplus and they write ColorOS.

Lineage OS just updated the OnePlus 8t version to 17 as well.

I'm seriously considering this too be my last "smart" phone.
