It's not going to burst until they can get as many AI companies to go public as possible then there will be a mass sell off and even then there will still be a lot of money in it. Surveillance capitalism for one is and will be profitable for quite some time for example

Yeah they need their IPOs/bag holding events to offload these worthless companies onto retirement plans.

I hope everyone is taking advantage of what our comrades in China are doing and getting a cheap solar panel for backup power while you can. 100W is a lot better than 0W. And the economic crash is going to be very bad. The less reliant you are for your survival on the systems that will fracture the better off you will be.

I agree, but if it's WW3 then you're fucked either way. Prepping is no solution. Do it if you want, tho, either way.

If its WW3 we'll be the partisans. You arent prepping to just survive alone. You should be prepping so that if it comes to that we can have a network of resistance that surives as a group and when China crosses the Pacific we're here to help them.

The physical price of energy going up once the war resumes is the most likely one. High energy costs will drive up inflation, and the borrowing rates are going to go up, and the whole industry runs on massive borrowing. It's already unsustainable, but with higher rates it's going to be impossible to pretend that anybody is ever making their money back.

“Prepping” by stocking up on stuff to rob your neighbors of their stuff = bad

Harvesting a bit of solar energy if you can afford to is pretty much the opposite of that mentality. I’ve lived/am living through the aftermath of an almost complete collapse here in Lebanon and I can assure you solar power is the only “solution” that doesn’t feel like a complete Faustian bargain. Literally everything else you have to do to live a decent life feels like mortgaging your future for a better shot at reaching it. It’s the most expensive thing we’ve ever done and at least when it comes to domestic electricity I feel like a king

I think about this once a week at the minimum. Looking at batteries, panels, a converter box thing so I can get the power from the solar panel. Idk it all looks so expensive and complicated and more anxiety and fear about the future, food, water, etc, etc. It gets to be overwhelming just thinking about it now.

That's good advice tho. I should just get SOMETHING because even a shitty set up is infinitely better than no set up.
