And here's me, with no plan to see either of them!

I feel bad for Laika's Wildwood. Looks excellent and I'll see it this week, but I doubt they expected this week to be so competitive.

I'm surprised is not higher. I saw a few people that usually don't go to the theater posting about watching this movie

Morbid curiosity makes me want to see the Theranos crazy lady movie, but I won’t be upset if I never do.

I have zero desire to watch DC movies.

The Theranos one is apparently made of up rehearsed footage, where each person in the scene is stage directed and agrees to give certain lines. The director gets multiple takes then mashes it together. It's what he's known for:

Lance Oppenheim (born January 26, 1996) is an American director and producer. His work blends nonfiction storytelling with heightened, cinematic formalism.

....so basically, it's a reality TV way to make a "documentary".

I would expect the audience for each to be different, although I am surprised to see Wildwood is rated PG-13. Clayface is R rated, and for adults. You Can See Everything is R rated, and for adults. So I would think Wildwood could sneak into the "for kids" category, but PG-13 probably pushes people away.

To be clear I'm actually more interested in seeing it knowing it's PG-13. It's rare we get more mature animated feature films. Plus Kubo and the Two Strings was an excellent film, so the same studio and director, I bet it's good.

But... To your point, October has been a surprisingly busy month for movies.

A big part of the movie is that despite it appearing fully open and honest... its still impossible to trust it since all of it is being told through the lense of someone who spent a month living with the subject. Theres no way to know if its being honestly portrayed because bias inherently exists.

The movie intentionally makes you question the motivations behind everyone involved in the movie and how much you can actually consider "real"

I went and saw it yesterday. It's a great film which would have had to compromise on a lot to stay within an all ages category. It's not as graphic as the other other two, but it definitely earns its rating.
