this thing is a iPod tower from 2010. there's supposed to be a console on top where you dock your iPod, with controls and stuff, but that's gone.

thankfully, it's got a normal power in on the back. found the audio in on the circuit board (it's behind the screwed-in panel in the middle) and figured out which wires protruding on the top are the ones I need, so Imma solder on a 3.5 mm cable and call it a day.
