Just a pig. Boars are not something you'd want loose in a studio.

How different are pigs and boars? Are they able to interbreed? Can Muslims eat boar meat?

These are the important questions I need answered in the comment section of a Star Trek meme forum.

I'm not sure who looks more miserable - George or the dog.

That pig is just thinking "no amount of food is worth this hassle!"

1. Boars are basically wild pigs. Typically more hair, agressive/feral, have tusks, and a highly invasive species.

Clearly the dog. Poor thing had to wear 2 fur suits under all those hot lights, whereas George just had to carry an annoyed dog.

It’s actually a domestic peccary, neither a pig nor a boar. That long snout is 100% peccary.

A boar is going to be mean, and a pig doesn’t look like that. Peccaries are routinely domesticated in South America, and look more ‘weird’ to a NA audience.

You’ll notice the same tan face colouring as the TNG actor. And look at his cute little ears – this one’s a baby. :)

They can and do interbreed. As a kid we had a wild boar bust into the pen of our pet pot belly pig. It freed and apparently mated with her. We would then occasionally see their weird part hairy, part bald mutant kids running around the woods after that.

EDIT: And why is it not part of the Holodeck Series? I have a Crusher action figure that is her from “The Big Goodybe”.

I do so love that pink outfit and her exuberance at trying to imitate the "working girl" in the station.

Anyway, use this an excuse to watch that and s6e12 "Ship in a Bottle," since it is a proper 2-parter. Albeit 3 seasons separated.

The action figure doesn’t look that good but I simply wanted it for being Crusher. I’m not sure why they came with a gun. Wrong character.
