The answer is yes. Britain has some hope in the Greens but that's about it, Canada only looks good because it's on top of an actively exploding train wreck, Ireland is sorta halfway sane but corrupt as ever, South Africa is a mess and has been its entire existence, NZ apparently wasn't happy with how good of a job Jacinda was doing so now they're back to quietly fucking things up, and everyone else who speaks it secondarily is going off the deep end in their own unique ways (see: India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Egypt, Netherlands, etc).

Any antisalmon ish allegation is worth nothing without describing the underlying offense. Anyone the criticizes Israel, from the right to the left has these accusations leveled at them from all sides. MTG, Tucker Carlson to the left, to Israeli and Jewish people themselves. The UK Purged their labour party of the left under corbyn under bad faith anti salmon allegations, removing a higher percentage of Jewish members for the charge than they represented as a percent of the party, to give an idea of it's sincerity.

It's anti salmon to oppose forcing palestinians into ghettos, controlling everything in or out and levying brutal collective punishments killing families of people for not just militancy but health care workers, the media, civil society, journalists, anyone that talks to western media, and whatever other reasons. It's anti christian to support killing the families of people that are accused, let alone innocent people. Abducting health workers, tying them, torturing them, executing them, then cutting out their organs and dumping in a mass grave, are not acceptable acts of allies of the US and the west, done all on our technology, weapons, intelligence, back up, and money.

The religious right is betraying the mission, the vision, of Christ on earth in their support for Israel, for a warped worldview working towards the end of the world and drowning it in blood and fire, in the case of the evangelicals. We shouldn't support a such a betrayal of humanity, and the religious should feel compelled to oppose our support of them, even at personal cost, if they truly believe in their faith.

It's a disservice to preventing bigotry to make bad faith bigotry allegations, and that's a campaign we should start. Israel's whole thing isn't believable arguments, it's outright bullying us all into forgoing, cancelling, our freedom of speech and protest, and it won't end there.

We need to start to firmly call out bad faith allegations, not let it go, stick with that person, how they are lessening the ability to stop real bigotry. That those actually hating on groups for race can't be well stopped because the accusers of this type of bigotry are bad faith.

At the same time they are trying to cancel jury trials, so their judge, appointed by their dishonest lawmakers, of which the rich captured all major parties leaving no independent leaders, can send you to prison for up to 3 years in the UK without a jury trial, up from 1 year in 2020, because they underfunded and scuttled the workings of the courts and their functioning, for this purpose of cancelling jury trials. Just as they sabotage public services as an excuse to privatize them, popularized form thatcher and reagan eras.

Idk if Australia is doing the same yet, but it's all connected, we've the same rich people across borders, they all talk to each other, influence each other. They will, the more acquittals for bad faith charges like this to protect Israel, the more they will cancel our ancient freedoms from the Magna Carta, the envy of the free world.

For calling a foreign politician(s) fascist, nazi, you are facing 5 years in prison. This is a dangerous precedent to set. We clearly need some popular reform, some leaders to restore our countries, before the far right wins as the protest vote because of rank corruption like this, and uses it to affix themselves in power with US and Russian help and make everything worse.

I mostly agree, but I think the reason Canada is staying saner than most is that they have a big French speaking population too. For some reason Canada is more politically European than even UK, and I think that reason may be the influence from French culture.

Regarding India I think they are doing reasonably well and better than most countries that were 100% colonized for so long. But there is certainly room for improvement.
But it is striking IMO how English speaking countries, where English is the main language, are often tending towards the politically extreme or irresponsible as in doing harm to themselves for no reason, where the better non harmful option is obvious.

In India I'm mostly referring to the ongoing descent into theocratic authoritarianism and hindu-nationalism. Historically I agree, they've done pretty well for themselves given where they started, but it's right this moment that they're veering in a decidedly unpleasant and less grounded direction.

Idk how much the French cultural influence can really be attributed to the maintenance of relative sanity in Canada, but it seems like a sorta far-fetched theory to me. France is going a pretty questionable direction right now too, with a near majority of the country embracing an ethnonationalist, barely-hiding-the-nazism far right party, and that's a pretty unsurprising reflection of the same historical factors as influence English speaking nations too. Quebec isn't exactly a bastion of cultural stability in the last few decades either, but I guess you're right that it's not quite on the level of the anglosphere.

OK I'm not that well informed about current politics in India, but I have observed Modi is not exactly stellar, I began to notice because they have completely abstained from denouncing the Russian invasion and war crimes in Ukraine.

It may be far fetched regarding Canada, but we know from many other situations that a mix of culture is better than mono culture, especially from work places, where a mix of men and women generally create a better work environment than 100% men or 100% women.
So I'm not saying that the French are better, just that the fact that there are 2 groups, may help prevent exceptionalism by either group to get out of hand. Like it has done in USA and UK. But of course Canada doesn't have the megalomaniac mindset of UK from being the former mightiest colonial power, or USA from being the global leading military power and economy for nearly a century.

I think such things may not be good for the national mentality. Too bad that USA didn't focus on promoting human rights and democracy instead of military power and trying to benefit from it.
