It took Me a long time to switch to using PieFed (the software MULTIVERSE is based on), because I was worried about accessing it from mobile. I didn't know if there were any apps for it. So to help you make the switch, here are three ways to put MULTIVERSE on your phone: 1: VoyagerVoyager for Lemmy is an app designed for a different kind of website called Lemmy, which many of our remote users are using to access MULTIVERSE's posts (Hi Lemmy people!). But recently, Voyager added support for PieFed, which means it can browse MULTIVERSE. Download it on the Play Store, the App Store, or F-Droid. Once you're in, choose "log in" instead of "join", and put in multiverse.soulism.net as your home site. 2: Web AppIf you're on Android, you can also add MULTIVERSE to your phone as an app by going to https://multiverse.soulism.net and hitting the three dots at the top right (nerds call this button a meatball menu), and selecting "Add app to Home screen". The created app shortcut will have no picture and be called PieFed (The software MULTIVERSE is based on), but you can just long press, select "Edit", and change that. Here's MULTIVERSE's icon:
3 Other PieFed AppsI haven't tried most of these apps, but piefed.social maintains a list of other compatible apps. If you have experience with any of these apps, please comment and let other users know which ones are good! |
