Israel is the state, Israelis are the people. If they said "Death to Israelis" it'd be pretty clear. How come it's not clear the other way around?

Because of the historic context. Antisemites have always used Israel as a dogwhistle to mean Jews.

Most Israelis support the war. Happy to be proven wrong, but from what I've researched, yeah most of the country are dicks.
