How to get the original version he based his art on? I must be doing something wrong. When I open the link it's just 8 images. When I click on them out just enlarges them, but no references.. 🤷
Yeah, it looks like he didn't include the originals for whatever reason. Kind of defeats the purpose a wee bit. To get the full cover you can simply search on it. Here's one I found: Actually you can read the whole comic if you have a digital reader. It's online at various archive sites. |

So Donald Duck and his kin, who don't wear pants, put shorts on for swimming? |

All part of the charm of being a Disney character! Also, the comic came out in 1958, and Donald's swimwear seems to be referencing styles from a couple decades earlier, I think. It's really the unnecessary masks that crack me up most, though. Not to mention, Huey, Duey & Looey looking like such helpless little babies in the redraw, instead of their usual wise-cracking pains-in-the-ass selves. XD |

Albert Camus - The Plague seems to have a whole heap of covers. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Albert+camus+the+plague&t=fpas&ia=images&iax=images Son of Godzilla just seems to be the new illustration for the cover https://www.criterion.com/films/29346-son-of-godzilla I don't think there is "more stuff like that" (Disney cover) on his site.. Looks like that is the only one. |

EDIT: haha, interesting major edit, just above. <3 You sound weirdly argumentative over little more than nothing. OP has literally at least ~3 other covers in the link which he re-drew for amusing effect. |

Yeah, not much I can do if it came across like that to you. 🤷 I thought that the link was to stuff like the one in the op.. It's not. |

Alright, I see what you're saying. Sometimes I'm just stoopid and hostile 'pon the whirl. Sorry about that, mate. Seriously-- I apologise. |

Why does one of the realistic ducklings have eyes on the side of its head while the other two have them in the front? |

Yes, you've noted the same massively philosophical problem I did back when I was 5 years of age. Normal clothes for them are shirts and other tops, but under- or swimwear is pants. |

My guess is for artistic effect. Not portraying the eye right there would have looked odd, visually. Like a head without features. I actually kind of like that decision, as the final effect matters more than strict reality. |

Sure, I get that, but the incongruity takes me right out. |
