People don’t generally know which politicians stand behind which law, and which representives opposed a law. Too much laborious digging to get those answers. As a consequnce, a lot of people likely vote against their own interests due to this systemic ignorance. So new rule:

AND on a website which uses plain HTML+CSS, not idiotic anti-user scripting. Hear hear!! Also, if their platform & their actual-votes contradict by enough ( 1/3? ), then they're automatically booted, as they got-in under false-pretenses. _ /\ _ PS: this is a community I've been wanting for years! |

Indeed. Some regions have open data laws that theoretically ensure this because the data reuse criteria requires the data to be machine-readable. But enforcement is a disaster AFAICT. Govs with open data laws make rampant use of anti-bot enshitification.
That’s a bit trickier. I suppose you would have to have a committee of people who try to objectively vote in accordance to the party platform (not their own preference), and then take the majority of those votes as the baseline for comparison to the representive. That could then be a basis for impeachment. But then the tricky part is candidates are never 100% party-aligned. Campaign promises are important. So whenever there is a deviation from the party, the candidate would have to show that they campaigned on a deviation in order to get that discounted from the overall deviation measure. |
