Good morning, coworker!

Just sending this email to create a paper trail of evidence documenting your ineptitude in completing the task that you were supposed to do last week.

Thanks!

Re: Rhynoplaz

Good morning,

This email is just to inform you that the task you assigned me a week ago was completed and sent to you via email three days prior. Please see attached email with date of previous submission to you.

Respectfully,

Devolution

Good morning Slazar,

Please do not reply all to corporate email chains. Please send all off-topic communications through our slack channels.

Thank you.

I always send meeting minutes so I can remember what we talked about and to prove that expectations were clearly communicated or an email to prove that I communicated that there's a serious issue and forces someone to acknowledge it.

The best is when you send an email and they reply in a chat or don't reply all. Makes my spidey sense tingle

When you find it necessary do this, be sure the conversation is also getting bcc'd to a home email

E-Mails are also excellent, if you want to push through something unpopular. Send a long e-mail that will be ignored by most people. Repeat at least once. Then you can reference back to it at a later date.

I said I could start that task once I was provided with the requirements, and that it would take me three days. I have not received the list of requirements.

One my previous cto did this - I was shocked on why he would be doing so. But make sense only afterwards

Isn't this the same as saying HR is there to protect the company, not the employee ?

I mean obviously, any action undertaken by a company or employee or agent there of is to further their own interests.

However, often your interests align with theirs.

If you receive a "company email" about some internal policy which has been updated or something mundane, sure it's purpose is ultimately to "protect company profits" or however you want to say it, but for an employee don't you also have an interest in being aware of internal policies?

It just seems really reductive to say that the purpose of company emails is to "protect the writer".

I get annoyed by people complaining that the goal of a movie studio is to make money. Yes. That's their job. They have employees to pay, it would be irresponsible not to try and make money. The goal of the company may be to make profit but the individuals working on films may still have a goal to make good art while they're at it. Companies may be incorporating more diversity because they see it as a way to make money, but the individuals they hire to make it happen may be people getting a chance to tell the stories they want to tell. And if the goal of the company is to make art that appeals to as many people as possible, isn't that also good for the audience?
