I don't believe in it, but think it's possible. So I don't mess with it, just to err on the side of caution. So I'd try and distract everyone into doing something else

I use the fact that anyone can subtly influence what the viewer is doing to make it say something funny.

I'd go find the food and the dog and the cat, in that order. If other people are near those areas, they can pet the dog as well. Hopefully there's an outside where you can see stars/mountains.

Observe and try to guess who's the one moving the thingy

Since many of my friends are playing Phasmophobia, I'd probably sneak up to them and just ask loudly "Do you want to play hide and seek?"
