for-profit science-publication cartels is machiavellian-parasitism.

That is its point, & its means.

The more machiavellian, the more profitable it can be.

Duh..

Putting the blame on authorship, when there are both science-publication cartels AND paper-mills, preventing open-access science, on the 1 hand, & polluting the science-publication space, on the other, .. is displacement.

With no real Science-centered integrity in the industry .. complaining about authors isn't right.

PLoS is in the right direction, so it's a step..
