Unfortunately, without the numbers in the house and the senate, they won't be able to do anything. They can present articles of impeachment all they want, but they won't get the votes from republicans. Their best bet is to sway the court of public opinion to help flip the house and the senate. But there are so many people who won't give a crap, and will continue voting for the guys protecting p...
Stop pretending like politicians are going to save us. 95% of them are complicit or are simply making too much money from the status quo to want to change things. We're going to have to actually roll up our sleeves and organize ourselves if we want real change. |

One of those "all of the people on the graph are the worst people we know, but not all of the worst people we know are on the graph" type of deals. |

I had a dream a couple of days ago that took place in a future where Trump had been in prison, died and stuff had gotten better. A lot of stuff that's uncertain now had been proven. The specific scene of the dream was me and part of my family along with others, imaginary people who were also family, sitting down to watch news and seeing coverage of dig sites at trumps golf course where many ske...
I had a dream too. I was on the beach, and noticed Reminded me of the ending of ‘brave new world’ if anyone here has read that one. Pretty chilling. |

People are still confused or dismissive whenever I try to explain why I try to vote for character quality over party or policy. sigh
character can be faked compared to a voting record though. I get what you mean but there is party in the us where just being in it makes the persons character questionable at best. So over party and policy only applies to me if there of reasonable party or policy. If republicans were like they were with teddy roosevelt or lincoln things would be different. |

I mean, they stripped Prince Andrew of his title and arrested him later over this stuff. But apparently Pedonald is a special kind of prince over here in the land of no kings.
no, they did not. He was arrested for sharing state secrets, rape and pedophilia still cool at Buckingham. |

What's absolutely wild is that lots of people voted for this guy bc they firmly believed he was the moral high-ground as opposed to those scary devil-loving democrats. It's mind-boggling... |

Democrats were in power for 4 years without releasing the files. Why would they now? Or ever?
Democrats treated the DOJ as an independent agency. Merrick Garland was a horrible choice. |

This is the defeatist shit attitude that people in power want you to have. Give up, go home, take it without lube. You can run, you can support other candidates, you can get involved. But you are choosing defeatism. |

It is literally anti-defeatist. I am telling people to take more action to guarantee our democracy. If you still think the government wants to run a fair election this year, you haven't been paying attention. The best way to make sure that doesn't happen is to make sure our grassroots politics are stronger than theirs, so go out and organize! Defeatism is acting like we only have to put up with Trump until midterms or at worst next the election cycle, while doing nothing except post on social media. |

Well yeah, and that's where things get interesting. Looking at their policy and voting history certainly does matter, and in fact it often is the best way to determine their character. |

yeah voting record is top for me, then money, then its how they present themselves and such. ugh. aweful primary this go round with a senate seat as we have a lead canidate I clearly don't want and a dark horse I very much do want but there is a third canidate I would not like as much as the darkhorse but very much over the leader and she is close to him in polling. So im stuck with the do I vote for who I want the most or vote for my second choice to avoid the one I don't want. I wish I lived in a the area with the write in guy. Well the irish sounding guy as there is also a spanish sounding one but the irish sounding one was in the bovino commercial with his hands down his pants waggling his figer through his zipper. I so want him running against the republican in the general. |
